The Marupai amulets are composed of coconut elements, stone, plants and animals, engraved with tribal designs and rubbed with lime so as to emphasize the forms. These amulets are still used for magical purposes in Papua New Guinea. The carved designs represent animals and fishes assigned to the various Orokolo clans. WWW.SANGREDEAMERICA.TV
