The Vinča culture was a prehistoric culture that developed in the Balkan peninsula between the sixth and the third millennium BC.

In the sixth millennium B.C. This culture occupied an area bounded by the Carpathian Mountains to the north. The culture touched the Danube in present Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Macedonia.
